May 12th 2007 Car Show Photos - 14th Annual Mayfest - Guin, Alabama

This year, they had 105 entries for one of their highest turnouts ever.  (I only got six photos taken before it started sprinkling rain, so I had to stop taking pictures to pack up my display items.)  Out of that 105, I had the only Oldsmobile there.  My ’87 was in the last production class - 1981 to 2007.  Counting mine, there were a total of nine entries in the class; so they split it into Class 5 A and B.  With Bob Smith’s ’86 Trans Am, there was my ’87 442, a 1991 Camaro Z28, a 1992 Camaro Z28 Convertible, a 1997 Camaro SS, a ’97 Mustang Convertible, a 1998 Camaro, a 1999 Mustang, a 2002 Camaro Z28 Convertible, and a 2006 Mustang Saleen.  They had First and Second Place trophies in each class, and a vehicle had to score higher than 75 points to receive a First.

Bob Smith’s 1986 Trans Am.
He got a Second Place trophy in Class 5.

Robbie Smith’s 1985 Dodge 600 Turbo Convertible.  His car received a Second Place trophy in Class 7, which was a Mopar class.

My ’87 442, a couple of minutes before I broke down my display and packed everything up due to the sprinkling rain.

Of course the rain stopped as soon as I had everything loaded up and everything shut.
