October 21st 2006 Car Show Photos - 21st Annual Mississippi On Wheels Charity Car Show - New Albany, Mississippi

This year, they had 185 entries for their highest turnout ever.  (I only got photos of some of the few that weren’t crammed in like sardines.)  Out of that 185, four were Oldsmobiles.  Besides my ’87 442 and the ’03 Olds and ’68 Cutlass shown below, there was a sky blue ’78 Cutlass in the 1973 - 1984 Modified Cars class.  All four Oldsmobiles received a First Place trophy.  Let’s hear it for the orphans.

1903 Oldsmobile.  I never could find the owner to ask him about this one - is it a kit or just restored and updated with bicycle wheels and a metal body?  This one won a First Place trophy in the 1900 - 1931 Production Cars class.

1948 Studebaker Pickup.  The owner and his son worked for seven years restoring this beauty.

1968 Olds Cutlass.  This one won a First Place trophy in the 1965 - 1969 Production Cars class.

1968 Chevrolet Camaro

1972 Ford Mach 1 Mustang

My 1987 442.  The 1976 - 1992 Production Cars class had four entries including mine.  An ’87 Chevy Monte Carlo SS, an ’85 Chevy Monte Carlo SS, and a ’92 Chevy Camaro were the other three.  The ’85 Monte Carlo took Third, the ’92 Camaro took Second, and the ’87 Monte Carlo and my ’87 442 tied for First.  (They had 185 entries and 200 trophies, so nobody went home empty-handed.)
