April 17th 2004 Car Show Photos - 26th Annual Railroad Festival - Amory, Mississippi

 1960 Triumph TR3

A modified 1969 Olds 442 owned by Ronald Sherrill of Phil Campbell, Alabama.  Nice guy and a very nice car.  They had 231 registered entries at this year’s Railroad Festival Car Show for their biggest turnout ever, and Ronald had the only other Oldsmobile in the show besides mine.  We’re extremely under-represented here in Mississippi…

The custom paint job on this 1966 Chevy Pickup was extremely detailed and eye-catching.

 1966 Chevy Nova

A 1947 Chrysler Crown Imperial Limousine.  This one was a real show-stopper.  It won Best of Show in the Production classes.

This 1957 Thunderbird was shown by Mike Corbell of Columbus, Mississippi.

1960 Nash Rambler

This 1986 Buick Regal T-Type took Third Place in the 1973 - 1991 Production class.  Nice car…

This 1972 Buick Skylark is owned by Bob Smith of Columbus, Mississippi.

My 1987 Olds 442 at the end of a long day, right before leaving for home.  The 1973 - 1991 Production class had eight entries including mine.  A ’73 Cadillac Coupe de Ville, a ’74 Cadillac Sedan de Ville, a ‘78 Dodge Diplomat, a ’79 Mercedes-Benz 450 SL convertible, an ’82 Nissan 280ZX, the ’86 Regal shown above, and an ’87 Monte Carlo were the other seven.  The Regal took Third, the ’74 Cadillac second, and my ’87 442 got First.  There were no ties because with 231 total entries, every class had at least one entry, so there weren’t any extra trophies left over in the case of ties.  This was my fourth year in a row to place First at Amory.  No wonder I like going up there.
